intro
I have been fascinated by visual art forms all my life. I have always sought to find creative expression, and have dabbled in a wide variety of of visual media: drawing, pen and ink, painting, carving, sculpture, cabinetmaking, boatbuilding, photography, videography, puppetry, vector art, charicature, and most recently digital 3D modeling, animating and rendering. A small sample of these artforms has been presented on this site.
I believe that certain things are distinctive about my artistic vision: I am fascinated by manipulation of scale through miniatures (big objects made small) and bigatures (small objects made big). I am naturally drawn to texture that invites tactile connection. I love the use of color and light that excites the eyes, and the use of 3-dimensions with an interplay of depth, curve, and shadow that excites the mind. I love creating for children: for their delight, play and enlightenment.
I live in Mt. Morris, NY, with my wife and four small children. My family and my faith are my primary sources of creative inspiration, and I give all credit to them.
Below is a short list of my proficiency. I would be happy to provide you with a complete résumé of my education, experience, and qualifications upon request. Contact me.
